PLEASE REBLOG THIS
So, anyone who watches Juu or I knows that we foster cats. We work with a small, local rescue who takes cats from kill shelters around the Jacksonville Florida area. We also take in medical cases.
I won’t bore you with the whole long story, but basically this cat rescue has taken on A LOT of sick kitties in the last couple months. Most were a complete surprise, like Patches, who is getting a $500+ test at a vet office today.
That’s on top of the regular expenses. That pretty fluffy baby in the first picture? He was picked up at a kill shelter, then dumped at the vet we use with his three siblings, lethargic and dehydrated from a STAGGERING amount of fleas. The gray boy in the second picture is the only survivor of a litter of 5 kittens that was born in my house. His mother got a uterine infection and had to be taken to the vet to be fixed the day after she gave birth - the babies were all bottlefed, but they caught a virus or infection (the vet still isn’t exactly sure what despite numerous tests) and his 4 siblings died. He still has a chronic sneeze that probably won’t ever go away no matter how much medicine he gets. So saying that I have a personal stake in these cats is probably understating it.
The rescue coordinator has said that they basically have about 30 days worth of funds left. It’s been one emergency after another, and it’s just completely drained the coffers.
So this is me asking if you can help the rescue and the kitties it’s trying to save, spare a couple bucks and pass this along.
It might not be much, but every little bit helps. Even if you can’t donate anything, please just reblog this post.
If you’re more of a “give some get some” sort, there’s also a GIFT SHOP where you can buy artwork, jewelry, and chocolates, including these really nice floating locket memorial necklaces for pets who have gone.
AGAIN, ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING WILL HELP RIGHT NOW! THIS RESCUE IS IN DIRE NEED AND YOU CAN HELP!
